Welcome
to the Home Page of Chavenage Productions.
The
Comedy of Errors played to full houses in July 2008, despite
rain and a muddy and slippery car park. Even our Monday night
preview performance was full, and we are able to give the proceeds
to three charities: The Marah Trust, The Meningitis
Trust and the Prostate Cancer Support Group. As this
was our last open-air production, we are pleased that all went
well, and our audiences enjoyed themselves.
While we've
said goodbye to the lawn at Chavenage, this isn't the end of Chavenage
Productions. We'll be staging our next performance in the spacious
and well equipped Bacon Theatre at Dean Close School in Cheltenham
in June 2010. We're already in discussion about the play to choose
for our new venue, with some of Shakespeare's most sparkling comedies
in the frame. Everyone on our mailing list will receive news of
our choice of play and the exact performance dates in 2009 - and
of course the all important booking form early in 2010.
If you are
not already on the mailing list, contact
us and we will put you on. Our plan is to produce a show every
two years to the high standards we've always set ourselves. And
by moving indoors, there'll be dramatic possibilities that simply
haven't been possible at Chavenage, lovely though it is.
